Classroom Floor Plan
Classroom Management
In our team, we work off of the clip system. Every student in the class will have a clothes line clip with their names written on it. Everyday, ALL students will start off on the color Green. Depending on each student's behavior that day, their clips can either move up, or move down. Each color represents a consequence of some sort, or a reward. If a student reaches Purple, they get to choose a prize out of the treasure chest at the end of the day. If a student reaches Pink, they get to write their name on an attendance ticket, and place into the attendance jar. After every 6 weeks, I do a drawing for a $10 gift card. Students who reach Yellow, receive a verbal warning. Students who reach Orange, are to walk laps for 5 minutes during recess, before playing. If a student reaches Red, a phone call home will be made, and they will walk laps for 15 minutes during recess. If behavior issues continue that day, students will be sent to the principals office, and be given a referral.
Students will record their colors each day in their planners for parents or guardians to see and keep track of. It is very important that parents or guardians sign off on their students planners EVERY NIGHT, so we know that you have seen them. We check planners every morning, and sign off on them to see that students are using them. Failure to fill out planners will result in moving a clip down. If this is a reoccurring incident, a phone call home will be made.
